I am not aware of any Government plans to introduce a windfall tax on banks.

The UK’s espionage legislation is contained within the Official Secrets Act 1911, 1920 and 1939.

It is only fair that companies that have made genuine windfall profits as a result of the fallout of the war in Ukraine contribute more to fund the Government’s cost of living support.

I note your comments about the Retained EU Law Bill. However, I understand that the Government has said that there has been no change to, and there is no plan to change, any of the legislation related to regulatory testing using animals in the UK.

In January 2022, the Government announced plans to bring forward a Bill to create a more innovative regulatory regime that would not have been possible were the UK still a member of the European Union.
