Speaking during Prime Minister’s Questions, Geoffrey Clifton-Brown highlights the record number of apprenticeships and very low unemployment in the Cotswolds.

Geoffrey Clifton-Brown (The Cotswolds) (Con): The Office for National Statistics has revised its figures for growth upwards by 0.7%, there is a record number of apprenticeships and very low unemployment in the Cotswolds, and there are very good conditions for young people to get into work. Does my right hon. Friend think that all that would have been achieved if he had taken the advice of the shadow Chancellor?

The Prime Minister: What my hon. Friend says is very interesting. Every time there is a question about the economy—that more people are in work, more businesses are being established and the economy is growing—the Opposition do not want to hear a word of it. They know what the whole country can see—Britain is succeeding and Labour is failing.
