7 November 2011
Geoffrey Clifton-Brown, MP for The Cotswolds, visited Blockley C of E Primary School last Friday (7 November 2011) to announce the winner of his annual Christmas card competition and to present the winner with a book voucher.
A large of pupils entered the competition and the standard of entries was very high. After lengthy deliberations Mr Clifton-Brown selected an entry by May MacKinnon-Little, aged 10, as the winner of the competition.
Mr Clifton-Brown then visited Blockley Primary School to announce May as the winner and to present her with her prize.
Speaking afterwards Mr Clifton-Brown said, “I am very grateful to the Headmistress and teachers at Blockley C of E Primary School for their help putting this competition together.”
“Picking the winner from such a range of quality entries was very difficult, however, I thought that May’s card was of a particularly high standard and I was delighted to be able to visit the school to announce May as the winner of the competition and to present her with her prize.”
