Cotswold MP visits Siddington Park

Siddington Park is a modern lifestyle village for the over 60s which sits on the outskirts of Cirencester, developed and operated by Rangeford Villages. On 2nd August, Sir Geoffrey Clifton Brown MP was invited to see the latest developments by Will Ryan, Village Manager at Siddington Park.

During the visit Sir Geoffrey was shown examples of the one, two and three-bedroom homes that will be on offer, as well the numerous facilities that will be made available to residents and the local community. Sir Geoffrey was also able to meet with members of the Rangeford Executive Team, Project Team, Sales Team and the villages first residents, to discuss how the village meets the demand for high-quality retirement housing in the local area. The site will offer residents access to an array of onsite amenities including a restaurant and bar, wellbeing spa, pool, gym, yoga and dance studio, resident’s lounge/cinema room, and hair and beauty salon.

Construction on the c.£50m village commenced in March 2020 and is scheduled for final completion in summer/autumn 2022.

Commenting, Sir Geoffrey said:

“I was delighted to visit the emerging retirement village at Siddington Park today. The design standards of the houses that I saw were of a high standard and when completed the new central hub will provide and excellent swimming pool, restaurant and cinema which will obviously benefit residents but will also be open to the wider public as well. I met a constituent who had already moved in and was very pleased to have made the decision after selling her home. Not surprisingly they are selling fast!”

Also Commenting, Will Ryan, Village Manager said:

“We were delighted to welcome Sir Geoffrey to Siddington Park and to showcase what the fully operational village will offer its forward-thinking residents and the local community in terms of its stunning communal spaces, leisure facilities and restaurant and bar areas, which will all be open to the local community to enjoy.

“Visitors to the village are often pleasantly surprised to discover the full range of facilities and services on offer here, which are designed to enable residents to life an independent lifestyle, with the added benefit of support services and an active social scene if they choose.

“Rangeford prides itself on supporting the local community, and the village will also provide much needed jobs for local people, as well as building partnerships with local suppliers, businesses and charitable organisations.”
