Rural Crime Roundtable
Rural Crime Roundtable this morning with the Home Secretary and Minister for Food, Farming and Fisheries. We discussed a whole range of issues impacting rural areas including the stealing of equipment, hare coursing, drug gangs, dog theft, and increasing use of modern technology such as markers, trackers, and immobilisers for stopping the theft of equipment. The Home Secretary also made it clear that police should commit to investigating crimes where there is evidence, stopping this creeping culture of certain crimes, such as burglaries, not being investigated or solved.
