Mr Geoffrey Clifton-Brown MP visited Cirencester foodbank last Saturday where he met with the Chairman, Mandy Fry and her wonderful team.
The Cirencester foodbank is set up to help those in need, people are referred to the centre with a food voucher, where they will be given food supplies, a hot drink and help in finding professionals who can give further advice or help.
The Cotswolds MP said after his visit:
“I was extremely impressed with the fantastic work that the foodbank does, especially with the sample food basket they had assembled to show me, which is intended to be sufficient for three days.
“The foodbank is manned by volunteers, all of whom are very dedicated to helping the people of Cirencester.
“The organisation of the foodbank and its warehouse is very impressive in itself, with the team split into specific sections focused on areas such as recruitment, the warehouse and donations.
“I would like to thank the volunteers of the foodbank again for all the fantastic work that they do to help those who are often the most in need” concluded Geoffrey Clifton-Brown MP.
