Geoffrey Clifton-Brown MP has added his voice of opposition to closure of the gates to White Hart Lane by Arkells Brewery.

The MP has been in contact with the County Council with regards to this matter and is urging all those who have previously used this passageway without hindrance to write to the County Council with a copy of the letter to him.

Mr Clifton-Brown who visited the site over the weekend following a meeting with the Mayor and a number of Councillors said;

“There is a wonderful community feel in Stow, enjoyed by residents and tourists alike. It is therefore a huge shame that this has been disrupted by this closure and I am sure many people, along with those who have already protested, will be keen to let their voice be heard”

Mr Clifton-Brown will be writing to Arkells brewery urging them to see common sense and to not begin their ownership of the White Hart by antagonising the people of Stow.
