The 2gether NHS Foundation Trust, which provides NHS mental health, substance misuse and learning disability services for people of all ages across Gloucestershire has recently launched its “Making Life Better Campaign” which is asking people across Gloucestershire to tackle stigma and challenge mental health discrimination. On Friday 2 October the campaign Roadshow headed to Cirencester, and Cotswolds MP Geoffrey Clifton-Brown was delighted to have the opportunity to attend the event.

As part of the event the MP was interviewed by Jane Melton, the 2gether NHS Foundation Trust Director for Social Inclusion about this issue and a copy of this will be available shortly on the campaign website http://www.2getherinclusion.nhs.uk/home .

Speaking after the event Mr Clifton-Brown said “It is almost certain that everyone knows someone affected by mental health issues, yet all too sufferers are the victim of bullying or, perhaps influenced by the stigma that still exists, do not seek appropriate help. I am pleased to be here today to help with the campaign and welcome any steps taken to help alleviate these problems”
