MP congratulates School on progress.

Geoffrey Clifton-Brown today reacted to news that Fairford Primary School has been taken out of special measures by Gloucestershire County Council.

Mr Clifton-Brown said:
“I have been following the progress that Fairford Primary has been making with great interest. I am delighted that the school is now out of special measures, clearly the school has benefited from the support of Jackie Hall and the Education Team at the County Council. I would like to congratulate the hard work of the teachers and pupils, and I am sure everyone will recognise the enormous support they have been given by the School Governors, parents and the local community. I will watch future progress with great interest, in the hope that all of our Cotswold schools are able to deliver the education our children need and deserve.”

County Councillor, Jackie Hall, cabinet member for Children and Young people, said:
"We are delighted that Fairford School has come out of special measures so quickly. I would like to congratulate everyone concerned with this success and hope the school continues to go from strength to strength.”

Fairford’s Mayor, Councillor Chris Roberts said:
“Both me and the Town Council are pleased that the cloud lifted has been lifted off the school, and look forward to further improvements for the future for the children of Fairford.”
