The Cotswolds MP, Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown, visited the Edwardstow Court Care Centre, which is conveniently situated near to Tesco’s.

Built to high standards, this new care home is able to offer excellent facilities for people who are no longer able to live in their own home.

Sir Geoffrey was given a comprehensive tour around the Edwardstow Court home, by Sian the Deputy Manager, and Millie the Regional Marketing Manager of the Orders of St. John Care Trust.

He was able to sit down and talk to a number of the residents who said that they had found the transition to the care home not too difficult and they were receiving excellent and caring help from the staff.

Nothing seems to be too much trouble for the staff as many facilities, such as hairdressing, are provided on the site. If they are not, the staff will happily accompany residents to the town.

The home has gone to great lengths to integrate with the local community by opening up their facilities, providing lunch at a relatively modest cost.

All-in-all, the home has proved to be a significant addition to the community to Stow-on-the-Wold.

On the visit, Sian said, “We were delighted that Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown MP was able to visit Edwardstow Court and thankful to him for taking the time. Our residents and staff greatly enjoyed his visit. Interaction with the local community is very important to the home and to the Trust and we look forward to continuing this mutually supportive association.”

Sir Geoffrey said, “Having spoken to residents, and hearing their excellent reviews, as well as seeing the vast range of activities on offer, I am very impressed by Edwardstow Court Care Centre.”
