Member of Parliament for The Cotswolds, Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown MP, recently visited Cackleberry Farm just outside Stow-on-the-Wold and met with owner Patrick Bourns to hear first-hand about the successful journey that his business has taken.

Cackleberry Farm is home to three rare breed flocks over 12 acres in traditional chicken houses. Patrick began his career as an agricultural worker and with an initial investment of just £2,000 has expanded his business into one of the most highly-esteemed free-range egg producers in the country.

Cackleberry Farm’s hens are all reared organically to the highest welfare standards and as a result the business supplies both Fortnum & Mason and Harrods in London. Additionally, the business offers a uniquely personal service and delivers directly to London if required.

The business has grown to employ five people and continues to grow healthily in the market.
