The Roads Minister, Jesse Norman MP, met today with all six of Gloucestershire’s MPs – Geoffrey Clifton-Brown, Laurence Robertson, Alex Chalk, Richard Graham, Mark Harper and David Drew.

The Minister plans to publish a number of alternative routes for consultation in February 2018. Any organisation, group or member of the public will have more than adequate opportunity to make comments about the project during the six-week consultation period. The Minister plans to announce his preferred route later next year.

The MPs are determined that this road scheme should be built. They are particularly conscious that this will be an expensive road scheme which needs to be constructed in an economical way otherwise it will never happen.
