Vote Leave and £350 million

I believe that it is important that promises made during political campaigns are honoured.

I welcome the Government’s commitment to increase resource spending on health services by £44 billion by the end of this Parliament. This is in addition to the £90 billion provided to support health services during the Covid-19 pandemic with £63 billion allocated in 2020-21 and over £34 billion so far this year.

Over the longer term, I am glad that this Government will deliver 40 new hospitals, 70 hospital upgrades, 100 community diagnostic centres, 50,000 more nurses in the largest capital investment in a decade. This investment will help to ensure that everyone has access to world-class healthcare.
